What we collect
When you use the site
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. This sets cookies and records IP-derived approximate location, device type, referring site and pages viewed. It is aggregate traffic measurement, not individual profiling. You can block it with any standard ad or tracker blocker, or through Google's opt-out add-on.
The trip planner runs entirely in your browser. Your selections are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere.
When you contact us
If you submit the contact form we receive the name, email address, optional WhatsApp number, travel timing, stated area of interest and message that you typed, plus the name of the site you sent it from. This is delivered to a Google Workspace account and stored there.
We deliberately do not ask for health information on the form — no diagnoses, no records, no medical history. Please do not send any. If clinical detail becomes relevant to your enquiry we will discuss how to share it appropriately at that point.
Why we hold it
Solely to reply to you and to continue that conversation. Legitimate interest, and your consent given when you tick the box on the form. We do not sell, rent, or broker enquiry data to third parties, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
Third parties
- Google — Analytics, and Workspace for form delivery and email.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to message us there, Meta's terms and privacy policy apply to that conversation.
- Affiliate partners — outbound links marked as affiliate links may set their own cookies once you click through. Their policies then apply.
- Clinics — we only pass your details to a clinic if you explicitly ask us to make an introduction. Never otherwise.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months from your last message, then deleted. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings, currently 14 months.
Your rights
Email andy@colombiamedical.co and ask us to send you a copy of what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We action deletion requests within 30 days and do not require a reason.
Depending on where you live you may have rights under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or Colombia's Habeas Data regime (Ley 1581 de 2012). We apply the deletion and access process above to everyone regardless of jurisdiction, which is simpler for all concerned.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
